UK 49s is drawn four times a day. The times are fixed in UK local time, while South Africa stays on SAST (UTC+2) all year. That is why the South African time moves by one hour when the UK changes its clocks.
| Draw | UK time | SAST, UK summer (BST, late March to late October) | SAST, UK winter (GMT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brunchtime | 11:49 | 12:49 | 13:49 |
| Lunchtime | 12:49 | 13:49 | 14:49 |
| Drivetime | 16:49 | 17:49 | 18:49 |
| Teatime | 17:49 | 18:49 | 19:49 |
Brunchtime and Drivetime were added on 27 January 2026. Before that date there were two daily draws, Lunchtime and Teatime.
How the draw works
Each draw takes six main numbers and a seventh “Booster” ball from 1 to 49. In South Africa, UK 49s is offered by licensed bookmakers as a fixed-odds bet: you choose how many numbers to back and the bookmaker’s price determines the payout. It is not a South African National Lottery game, so prize tables do not apply.
When results appear on LottoFun
LottoFun reads results directly from the operator’s results service a few minutes after each draw and records the exact draw time. Each draw has its own page: Brunchtime, Lunchtime, Drivetime and Teatime.
Your bookmaker’s rules decide whether the Booster counts and what a bet pays.
