Two South African National Lottery add-on games changed their names in 2026. If you are searching for “Lotto Plus 2 results” or “PowerBall Plus results”, these are the games you are looking for now.
| Old name (until May 2026) | Current name | Draw days |
|---|---|---|
| Lotto Plus 2 | Lotto 5 Max | Wednesday & Saturday |
| PowerBall Plus | PowerBall Xtra | Tuesday & Friday |
What changed on 1 June 2026
Nedbank’s lottery guidance records the name changes and notes that game rules changed from 1 June 2026. The changes are visible in the published results. PowerBall and PowerBall Xtra draws since June 2026 use PowerBall numbers from 1 to 16, where older draws used 1 to 20. Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 draws between late September 2025 and May 2026 used numbers up to 58; since June 2026, Lotto and its add-ons are back to 1 to 52. National results listings also show no Daily Lotto Plus draws after 31 May 2026.
How LottoFun shows old and new draws
Draws up to 31 May 2026 stay on the Lotto Plus 2 archive and PowerBall Plus archive pages, with the rules that applied on the day. New draws appear on Lotto 5 Max and PowerBall Xtra. Each saved draw keeps its own number format, so the ticket checker uses the correct PowerBall range for an older ticket.
Checking an older ticket
Match the date on your ticket. A ticket for a draw before June 2026 should be checked against the archive page, and the rules on the ticket and in force on that date apply. Unclaimed National Lottery prizes expire 365 days after the draw.
